This workshop introduces the fundamental elements of the Holistic Actor Method: a psychophysical approach to acting that integrates movement, breathwork, voice, introduction to emotional states, embodied text, ensemble collaboration, and relating with theatrical space. Supported by a holistic wellness program for theatre professionals.
The training paradigm combines Grotowski, late Stanislavski, environmental theatre and principles of sacred space, the classical Indian performance theory of emotional states (rasa aesthetics), Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals and Vinyasa Krama Yoga.
Designed for groups working closely together through performance collaboration/investigation and/or theatre training: theatre schools, professional actors, directors, performance artists and professional theatre companies.
Location: On location with the group or company requesting the workshop
Workshop Fee: €2500 group rate plus travel expenses
Retreat Option: The Six Day Intro may be booked as a retreat. Fees include meals and accommodation and are based on the preferred location (Lake Balaton or one of the Ionian islands) and the number of participants.
